Artist's Comments

I decided that I'll post this a bit earlier than the start of the next Jam to give everyone a bit of extra time to work on the images. There's 25 characters going into this pic, so it's pretty huge already but there's room for a couple more still I guess.

A couple of guidelines for the images.

- Make the character at least 800 pixels high, just so that we can make this thing really large and show all the work off

- Submit the character preferrably on a transparent background (submit a PSD version or something like that if you have to). If you can't do this, keep the character on a white background.

- Full bodied character pics will work MUCH better, or I'll have to hide your pic in behind another character to fit them in.

- Colour the character if you can.

- If you aren't entirely happy with the character you've ended up with I suppose it would be okay if you were to swap with someone else. Don't go around begging to swap characters though, that'd suck. Just let me know and if someone else does the same I'll sort something out. Try and stick with who you got though, it'll be a good learning experience if you aren't too confident in drawing them.

- The reference pic is purely to show you what position each character will be in on the page. You do not have to pay any attention whatsoever to the pose etc I drew here, I was just having some fun with it.

- Character positions and artists were drawn completely at random.

- If I need to, I will move characters around to fit the pic.

- There's no real deadline for this. It's for my August art jam, so try and get the pics in before the end of August so I can put it all together by the 31st

Wicked, Mant'll be a blast to draw. I'm guessing that most of the characters behind the front row are going to be in jumping/flying poses right?

Yeah, jumping/flying poses would be best for the characters further back I guess, but if you have any other ideas that will work, go for them :)
